South Bend St. Patrick’s Day continues in Michiana as folks plan to head out for great food and music Monday. One of the many places folks will still is Fiddler's Hearth in South Bend.
They will have live music as soon as they open at 11 a.m. That will continue until they close around 12:30a.m. On top of live music, they will also have dancers throughout the day.
This pub usually has a menu that reflects the food and culture of the Seven Celtic Nations. Monday, it will strictly be Irish food. One of the more popular items is the Molly Malone Stew. It has Shrimp, bay scallops, mussels, clams, crab, cod, mushrooms, and barley in a hearty tomato & white wine broth served with warm bread. They will also have Bangers and Mash. That consists of traditional Irish banger pork sausages over mashed potatoes. It is then topped with gravy and fried leeks.
If you are not in the mood to try an Irish dish don’t worry, they will also be serving burgers.
Fiddler’s is located at 127 North Main Street in South Bend. If you are interested in stopping by Monday, it is recommended that you either stop by right when they open at 11 a.m. or in the middle of the afternoon, if you don’t want to wait too long.
Also, they will start charging a $5 cover at 4 p.m.
