Father son team charged in violent home invasion

Winona Lake, Ind. Charges have been filed against a father-son team accused of a violent home invasion earlier this month.

Police say 43-year-old Jeffrey Hill and 25-year-old Jeffery Hunt entered a home in New Paris on November 4, and severely beat one of the residents with a tire iron, forcing them to hand over valuables.

The father and son from Winona Lake now face multiple felonies, including robbery resulting in serious bodily injury and conspiracy to commit burglary.

The father Jeffrey will also be charged as a habitual offender and will have a hearing Thursday. His bond has been set at $2 million.
