A two car accident in LaPorte County took the life of a Michigan man Sunday morning.
According to police, around 2:15 Sunday morning a call was placed about a disabled vehicle westbound on I-94, about a half mile west of the Michigan - Indiana state line.
Police believe the 2007 Honda Accord had its lights off and was partially in the right line when it was struck by a Dodge caravan, closing down the left and middle lanes for about three hours.
The driver of the Accord, 38 year old Quinn Collins of New Buffalo, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The caravan had eight people inside, all family members, six of whom were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
