Fans in Florida didn’t get quite the show they’d hoped for as the Irish lost to Alabama 42-14, but most were happy to see the Irish play in the historic game, and all are proud of the Irish season.
The tone in the stands was much quieter than it was in the fall, when Notre Dame won game after game, going 12-0 in the regular season.
“It’s too bad the Irish didn’t come through,” Ed Moskal says, “But we have tomorrow to live for, and they’ll do better next year.”
Redshirt freshman quarterback Everett Golson says he’s anxious to lead the Irish to an equally stellar season next year.
