The family of Joan Kroc was in South Bend Friday evening to see our Kroc Center in action.
Kroc donated nearly $2 billion to fund the building of centers like this one on South Bend's west side.
Friday her Grand Daughter Amanda Latimer and her family toured the building.
Latimer was too camera shy to do an interview, but her son says they enjoy visiting their family's namesake across the country.
“It’s a great honor being here in South Bend Friday on behalf of my Great-Grandma Joan and its one of the best centers I’ve seen to date,” said Scotty Latimer the Great-Grandson of Joan Kroc.
After the tour the family is headed to Chicago where a Kroc Center is opening Saturday morning.
