OSCEOLA, Ind. -- An Osceola family is hoping the community can help provide transportation for their family.

We first introduced you to Ella Lanay hunt when she was just six months old.

Ella was born with a rare disease called spinal muscular atrophy or SMA, which is almost always fatal.

The life expectancy for a child with this disease is less than two years, and the family feels blessed to say she's now two and a half.

The family is trying to raise money for a van by getting 1,000 people to donate $31 in 31 days.

The deadline for donations is Monday.
