SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- A local family is serving as an inspiration to others, but for them transporting their handicapped son can be difficult.

Monday, things were made a little easier for the Allman family, With the delivery of an MV 1, a car specifically designed to serve the needs of wheelchair users.

The Auto Park recently launched a partnership with AM General, and their first delivery was to Tyler Allman and his family.

Tyler has been diagnosed with "Batten Disease" which is a rare, fatal disorder of the nervous system. It's left Tyler blind.

The "MV-1" was made at AM General's plant in Mishawaka and purchased through donations from Tyler's supporters.
