Fallen Heroes American Legion Family Ride held Sunday

Armed Forces Day was Saturday, but some are continuing its observation Sunday.

Motorcycles filled the parking lot at the Wal-Mart on Portage Road, for this year's Fallen Heroes American Legion Family Ride. They started the 60 mile ride in South Bend, and ended at American Legion Post 308 in Osceola.

The ride aims to show support for the families of service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

David Thompson, American Legion Post 308 “This in honor to them,” says David Thompson of the American Legion Post 308. “This is in respect to fallen military. That we've lost overseas. Everybody comes in respect for that.”

Each biker paid $15 to take part. Last year, there were 500 participants.
