From the LaPorte Police Department:

On Tuesday, July 22, at 9:01 p.m., LaPorte Police responded to LaPorte High School to investigate a battery that occurred.

During further investigation it was learned that two teen girls, age 14, met on the grounds of the school to fight over alleged bullying and comments made on Facebook.

Officers spoke to both the girls and their parents. The issue was resolved and both parents agreed to delete the Facebook accounts, since that seemed to be the initial source of the conflict.

Police reminded the girls that they still had plenty of time to file charges on both of them if there were continued problems.
