Ex-doctor claims mistreatment in prison, resentenced

Berrien County, Mich. Attorneys for an ex-doctor serving time for sexual assault claim he has been mistreated in prison.

The allegations were made in court yesterday when 55-year-old Paul Miluk of Buchanan was re-sentenced, after changing one of his convictions.

In court yesterday, lawyers alleged Miluk was given improper medication and mistreated by inmates in prison.

According to reporting partners at the Herald-Palladium, the Berrien County judge called the treatment inappropriate but said it would have to be addressed by the jail captain and sheriff.

Miluk will continue serving the same 180 days in jail, but is now convicted of delivery of a controlled sentence instead of attempted delivery.

Court records say Miluk drugged a woman in his home then had sex with her--dating back to October 2012. He was first sentenced to prison on July 30 this year.
