SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- We have an updated list on when people can expect their power to return if they were affected by today's storms.

Roughly 10,300 I&M customers were left without power.

Below is a chart of when power is expected to be restored for customers throughout the Michiana area:

Michigan:

Buchanan area- Thursday around noon
Benton Harbor area- Wednesday around midnight
Three Rivers area- Wednesday around 8 p.m.

Indiana:

South Bend area- Thursday around 3 p.m.
Elkhart area- Thursday around 8 p.m.
Fort Wayne area- TBD
Decatur area- Wednesday around 10 p.m.
Butler/Avilla area- Thursday around noon
Winchester area- Thursday around 1 a.m.
Muncie area- TBD

Severe weather can cause power lines to snap or poles to come down. Fallen power lines are dangerous because they carry an electric current that can cause serious or fatal injury.

Never touch a fallen wire, no matter how harmless it looks. And keep others away from the potential hazard as well. If you encounter fallen wires, stay away from them and immediately contact Indiana Michigan Power.

Customers can report outages and safety hazards by calling:
1-800-311-4634 (Indiana)
1-800-311-6424 (Michigan)
