The Elkhart Fire Department spent a good portion of their Saturday morning fighting a house fire.
Emergency crews were called to the 1000 block of Baker Dr., near the corner of Goshen Ave. and Middlebury St., around 2 a.m.
An official from the Elkhart Fire Department told a NewsCenter 16 crew, the blaze may have started in a light fixture within the home's bathroom.
A father and son were inside when the fire started, but both escaped away uninjured.
A fire inspector will perform a detailed investigation of the scene Saturday. The home is still considered livable, though repairs will need to be made.
