Emerald Ash Borer found in Starke and Tipton Counties

The Emerald Ash Borer is back, and has hit Starke and Tipton Counties.

The invasive species kills Ash trees. The bug was first found in Indiana in 2004 and has now been found in more than 50 Indiana counties. It generally moves through firewood in campgrounds.

Tipton and Starke Counties are included in a 79 county quarantine area across the nation.
