ELKHART, Ind. An Elkhart woman is searching for the man who came to her rescue after a crash Tuesday.

Mackayla Que-Lazaro was driving on U.S. 20 in Elkhart, when her car slid off the road and flipped several times.

According to our reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth, Que-Lazaro’s car landed upside down, trapping her inside.

She says a man crawled through the driver’s side window and pulled her to safety, then let her sit in his car while they waited for an ambulance.

Que-Lazaro sufferred from two fractures each to her arm and neck, but is expected to recover.

She wants to thank the driver and hopes he, or anyone who might know him, to e-mail her at mdque5@gmail.com.
