Elkhart standoff ends peacefully

Elkhart A standoff brought more than a dozen police, fire and ambulance crews to a home in Elkhart Monday morning, but it all ended peacefully.

It happened in the 2800-block of Calumet.

Police tell NewsCenter 16 a man was having a problem with some medications, and his wife called 911. When they got there, he didn't want to talk, so he barricaded himself in the house.

It is unknown if the man was armed or not.

After about an hour and a half the man cooperated with officers. No one was injured and no one was taken into custody.
