ELKHART, Ind.--- A big downtown construction project in Elkhart is creating some parking concerns.
"Gause lot", one of the city's biggest public parking areas, will close beginning Monday July 28.
It's all because of a project involving a one million gallon holding tank.
According to our reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth, the city has set aside several temporary lots to offset the lack of parking.
Waterfall Dr. between Jackson and Lexington will be closed through the project, which is expected to continue into November of next year.
The work is part of Elkhart’s sewer project, that aims to reduce the amount of untreated water entering streams and rivers.
