Elkhart's mayor is considering dropping a moratorium on new sewer services, outside of city limits.
The Elkhart Truth reports that Mayor Dick Moore met Tuesday with the author of a state bill that targets Elkhart.
He agreed to consider dropping the moratorium, in exchange for State Representative Tim Wesco dropping an amendment that would allow residents outside of city limits to appeal their compact agreement fees to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.
Moore offered up a new plan to the city, which would go into effect next April. See details at The Elkhart Truth.
