Elkhart man accused of killing two pleads guilty

ELKHART, Ind. - An Elkhart man accused of killing two people at Saleh's Market in Elkhart has pleaded guilty.

That's according to our reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

Kevin Moore, 29, was charged with the killing of Jagtar Bhatti, 55, and Pawan Singh, 20, on Sept. 5.

Moore was in court Thursday and pled guilty but mentally ill to the two counts of felony murder. He now faces a possible sentence of 130 years, for both counts.

Moore admitted to suffering from multiple mental illnesses, including post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

He will undergo a mental health evaluation before his sentencing hearing on Feb. 19.
