Studying up before pulling the trigger, one Elkhart gun shop is getting more and more people to sign up for its basic handgun classes.
Over at Midwest Gun and Range Saturday handgun classes are full through the month of April.
The students start off in a classroom setting, learning to handle the weapon. Then, they eventually move to the gun range.
The manager at Midwest says they have even had to add classes to meet the demand.
“We are always busy with these classes,” says Bill Gallagher the Manger of Midwest Gun and Range. “This year being a little bit more of an exception where we are out two months in advance usually we are out at least a month in advance with these classes being offered every Saturday.”
The winter months tend to be busy at the range since people cannot shoot outdoors. But, Gallagher says there has definitely been an uptick in the amount of business they are doing.
