One person was arrested Friday evening after an apparent family argument on Elkhart’s south side ended with a stabbing.
According to our reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth, officers were sent to a home in the 400 block of West Garfield around 5 p.m. after a man called 911 crying and then hung up.
A second man was spotted in handcuffs outside the home and was later taken away in a police cruiser. Investigators say there was a language barrier between the officers and those at the scene.
But it appeared that some type of dispute among family members led to the stabbing.
Neighbors say that the residents of the house had just moved in a few weeks ago and mostly kept to themselves.
