Elkhart Detectives at the Elkhart Sheriff’s Department continue to look for information in hopes of identifying a suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman back in October.

On October 2, 2013 around 7 a.m., Elkhart County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 52000 block of Brookstream Circle to investigate the sexual assault of a 50-year-old female by a black male in his late 20’s to early 30’s.

The assault took place around 5:30am in the victim’s apartment after the suspect entered the residence. The suspect stole a cellular telephone, keys, and cash and left the home on foot.

Investigators have been following up on leads since last October and are seeking information on a suspect described as a black male, 6 foot tall, skinny or thin build, late 20’s to early 30’s, scraggily goatee, and short hair.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect depicted in the sketch or anyone who may have information about this crime should contact the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department at 574-533-4151.
