The Elkhart Wall of Heroes will continue to honor the memory of Indiana residents who've been killed in the line of duty, thanks to the generosity of some NewsCenter 16 viewers.
The Wall of Heroes was in danger of being sold because the owner of the property couldn't afford to pay the taxes.
After our story ran, we received several calls and emails from folks volunteering to help.
The owner called NewsCenter 16 Wednesday, saying he's received enough donations to pay the taxes on the wall. He wanted to convey his gratitude to everyone who made it possible.
