Elkhart Salon to hold "Purseonally Yours" fundraiser
Women throughout Michiana might have to take a quick trip to Elkhart this weekend.
Fix Salon/Spa located in downtown Elkhart has been cleared out to make room for more than 1,000 purses!
The Salon is taking part of a “Purseonally Yours” fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m on Saturday.
The event features gently used purses, priced between $5 through $20. Those attending today's events can nibble on treats from Mini Delights Bake Shop and sip on Moscato wine.
They'll also get the chance to bid on name brand purses. Other items for sale include Hello Gorgeous T-shirts, sweatshirts, and books.
All proceeds from the sale will benefit Hello Gorgeous!, a nonprofit organization that provides free makeovers, spa services, and cosmetic education to women with cancer.
The organization works with families and cancer patients to surprise their loved ones with flowers, chocolates, and other special treats.
Fix Salon/Spa offers 12 free makeovers every year through Hello Gorgeous. Hello Gorgeous founders, Kim and Mike Becker, will also be at today's event.
