Elkhart Police search for person of interest in Monday night shooting

Monday night, Elkhart City Police responded to the 500 block of West Marion Street in reference to a shooting investigation. Officers found a 20-year-old male with an apparent gunshot wound to his leg.

On August 4th at 11:13 pm, Elkhart City Police responded to the 500 block of West Marion Street in reference to a shooting investigation.

Officers located a 20-year-old male with an apparent gunshot wound to his leg.

The injured man was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment and later released with non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is on-going.

The Elkhart Police Department has named Stephonn Sutton, 25, as a person of interest in the investigation and wish to speak with him regarding possible information.
