Elkhart General and Memorial Hospitals top hospitals in U.S. for patient saftey
If you're worried about spending time at the doctors office, head to Elkhart General or Memorial Hospital.
The two facilities have been rated in the top five percent of U.S. hospitals for patient safety.
Only 263 hospitals in the country receive this designation from Health Grades.
The rankings show patients at the top hospitals were almost 48-percent less likely to experience one of 13 preventable safety events, such as bed sores or foreign objects left in the body.
5,000 hospitals were examined nationwide.
