On Thursday, May 22, Elkhart County Sheriff’s Deputies participated in a sweep that led to the arrest of seven people who had warrants for their arrest for violent crimes and serious drug charges.

On Thursday, May 22, Elkhart County Sheriff’s Deputies participated in a sweep that led to the arrest of seven people who had warrants for their arrest for violent crimes and serious drug charges.

The team, which was led by officers from both the patrol division and the detective bureau, arrested the following individuals:

Joshua Brown
Two Counts of Dealing in Cocaine, Class B Felonies

Kenneth Beathea
Criminal Deviate Conduct, Class B Felony
Domestic Battery, Class A Misdemeanor
Habitual Offender

Cecilia Kramer
Theft, Class C Felony

Robert Jordan
Battery Resulting in Injury to Pregnant Woman, Class C Felony

Glen Miller
Burglary, Class B Felony
Two Counts Receiving Stolen Property, Class D Felonies

Keith Hilger
Theft, Class D Felony

Adreinne Wheeler
Battery with a Deadly Weapon, Class C Felony
Strangulation, Class D Felony
Residential Entry, Class D Felony
Theft, Class D Felony

Though officers were not able to arrest all targeted individuals in this project, "officers were able to gain valuable information that will allow similar initiatives like this to be conducted in the future."
