Three Elkhart men are behind bars after leading police on an overnight high-speed pursuit.
Just after 2 a.m. Sunday, officers tried to stop a maroon Dodge Durango near the intersection of County Road 9 and County Road 20.
But the SUV took-off, leading police north into Elkhart where the vehicle reached a dead-end, traveled over a ledge and crashed upside down on a sidewalk at Main Street and Indiana Avenue.
A subsequent foot pursuit landed three men behind bars.
The driver, Christian Serrato, 20, and his two passengers, Jesus Alvarado and Adrian Garcia, both 20, were all preliminarily charged with various alcohol and resisting arrest offenses.
