Life without parole remains the sentence for an Elkhart County man convicted of murdering his neighbor back in 2008.
The Indiana Supreme Court has upheld the punishment received by Tyrice Halliburton for the murder of Sheena Kiska at the apartment complex in Bristol where they both lived.
Kiska was killed because she walked in on a burglary in progress.
Halliburton was not arrested until three years after the crime.
He had challenged his sentence based on photographic evidence he thought was wrongfully admitted at trial.
