Elkhart County Sheriff's Department investigates residential burglaries in Concord Township

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department is warning folks in one neighborhood to keep an eye out for anything unusual.

A handful of burglaries are being investigated in Concord Township.
There have been nine residential burglaries in the area since November 1st, half of them have happened during the daytime.

In fact on Sunday one homeowner found pry marks on their entry door but nothing was missing.

Elkhart County Undersheriff Sean Holmes says, “It's a concern when you have that many in one area especially in that time frame. We do see burglaries pretty regularly but we are just more informative these days.”
Police are reminding people to keeping their blinds closed and look their doors when away, especially for the holidays.

Another problem, people often like to post that they are leaving town on Facebook for the holidays, which police say isn't smart when it comes to protecting your home.
