ELKHART, Ind.--- If you're visiting the Elkhart County 4-H Fair Monday you can be a part of a world record attempt.

The fair is trying to break a world record by collecting over 560,000 pounds of non-perishable food items in a single day.

The "All In" Food Drive started today at 1 p.m. Sunday and runs until Monday, so you still have time to donate.

“We were very busy, we had the entire football team from Concord, cub scout groups, church groups here as volunteers, they filled a semi so far, we have about 16 hours left to go and we expect tomorrow morning to be our good time,” said Cathy Hoogenboom, a member of the Elkhart County 4-H Fair Board.

During the first day of the food drive Hoogenboom said they were able to fill most of a semi with non-perishable food items.

If you'd like to participate, you can drop your items near gate two on the fairgrounds.

All donations will benefit the Food Bank of Elkhart County.
