South Bend Fire crews were busy this morning, battling a blaze at a home in South Bend.

Crews responded around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday to the home in the 700-block of Lincoln Way East. Flames were shooting out of the building when firefighters arrived and took about 45 minutes to get under control.

Firefighters said the muti-unit structure was vacant and stood right next to a home that caught fire just a few days ago. However, so far, officials cannot say whether the incidents are related. They're currently investigating the cause of Tuesday's blaze.
