There are some changes in store for drivers who use an "i-zoom" on the Indiana Toll Road.
You'll still stop, wait for the device to register, and get on your way once the gate goes up, but it'll no longer be called an "i-Zoom."
The Indiana Toll Road is retiring the "i-Zoom" brand and colors this year, and replacing them with the more recognizable "E-Z Pass" logo and purple color scheme.
With this change, Indiana will join 14 other states that currently use the "E-Z Pass."
It's an attempt to cut down on driver confusion at toll plazas by making the branding more recognizable to out-of-state drivers.
Officials emphasize that it's a change in name only, and the transition will not affect any "i-Zoom" account holder or any other "E-Z Pass" user.
