Driver pleads not guilty in Bristol teen's hit-and-run death

The woman charged in the hit-and-run death of a Bristol teenager pleaded not guilty in court Monday, that according to our reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth.

Police say Yvonne Addington of Bristol was the driver of a Jeep that struck 16-year-old Alan Hess while he was walking along S.R. 120 and C.R. 19 around midnight on March 5.

Addington appeared in court at 8:30 Monday morning before Judge Stephen Bowers in Elkhart Superior Cour 2. She pleaded not guilty to two counts, one of failing to stop at an accident resulting in death and another of failing to notify an official of a death or injury. Both of those charges are Class C felonies.
