A man lost control behind the wheel while driving down snowy roads in St. Joseph County.
The car crashed into a utility pole near the intersection of New Road and Ironwood just before 11 a.m. Sunday.
Police blocked off the area due to downed power lines that caught on fire.
The driver did not require medical treatment at the scene.
Officials are warning drivers to avoid the New Road area between Ironwood and 331 because the roads are very slick.
AEP was called out to the scene to repair the damaged power lines.
