A police chase in Marshall County Friday evening ended when the driver crashed his car and was sent to the hospital.
The pursuit started just after 7:00 on Lincoln Highway near Elm Road just east of Bourbon.
Bourbon police officer Mathew Haskins said he clocked the driver going 71 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour zone.
The driver sped away when he turned on his emergency lights to pull him over.
The officer chased the car, reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour, until the driver crashed in the 1000 block of 14th Road in Argos.
The driver had to be cut out of his vehicle and was taken to the hospital.
Neither the driver's name nor condition have been released.
