The city of Buchanan hopes their latest event will have Michiana singing praises, literally. Downtown Buchanan will now officer free weekend concerts. The concerts will occur on the last Saturdays of May, June, July, and August, with the first happening tomorrow May 25.
CJ Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band will perform at the Buchanan Common around 7 p.m. The Grammy nominated group hails from New Orleans.
Jesse Dee, a musician recently featured as one of National Public Radio’s top new comers on the scene, will play in June. Samantha CrainSamantha Crain was recently featured as a Rolling Stone’s Artist to Watch will arrive in July. The final concert in August will feature the popular bluegrass band, Larry Keel and Natural Bridge.
