A Dowagiac woman is facing charges after allegedly embezzling money and stealing drugs for a dentist’s office in Dowagiac.
Vicki Zachary, 45, turned herself in on a warrant on Wednesday to the Dowagiac Police Department.
She faces embezzlement and fraud charges involving a controlled substance from Burling and Gillesby, DDS, P.C., of at least 50,000 dollars. The Cass County Prosecutor Victor Fitz says the incident happened around September 2011 through last month.
Zachary faces a total of 19 years maximum in prison if convicted. She’s being held on a 25,000 dollar bond. Her arraignment date has been set for January 16th.
