Two door-to-door salesmen arrested in separate incidents in southwest Michigan were apparently telling the truth about who they represent.

Both men claimed to work for Just Energy utility company. WSJM reports that they were independent contractors for the company but have since been fired.

Raymond Guzman was arrested Tuesday in Niles, after getting into a physical confrontation with a homeowner. The second contractor hasn't been identified, but he was arrested the next day in Dowagiac, for marijuana possession and soliciting without a permit.

The Berrien County Sheriff's department has received several complaints about door-to-door salesman for Just Energy.
