With senior Quarterback out with a shoulder injury, USC will turn to redshirt freshman, Max Wittek, to try to end Notre Dame's undefeated season Saturday night in Los Angeles.

Wittek is certainly confident in his abilities, but did he say too much in his comments this week?

"We're going to play our offense, you know" " Wittek said in an ESPN Los Angeles Radio Interview, "What ever Coach Kiffen feels comfortable giving me, if he wants to air it out, we'll air it out. If he wants to pound them on the ground, let's do that. Like I said, I'm going to go out there and play within myself, play within the system and we're going to win this ballgame."

So how did the Irish feel about Wittek's comment?

Junior Cornerback, Bennett Jackson, says words don't win game, "You know, I'm just glad that he thinks that. We're a team that we don't really put ourselves forth with words to try to define how we're going to play the game, you know we're just going to show up and play football, and at the end of the day, words don't put points up on the scoreboard. They can sit back and say what ever they'd like and when game time comes on Saturday, we'll see the outcome."

Coverage from LA continues all the way up to our Countdown to Kickoff special at 7:30 Saturday evening on WNDU.
