SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- Notre Dame has had natural grass ever since 1930, but this year Brian Kelly's squad is playing on new field turf.

Reverend John Jenkins and Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick took part in today's field dedication, along with Jim and Leah Rae Morse and their family.

Morse is a former Notre Dame football player.

The turf was made possible by their generous donation, and that donation is recognized by a plaque that is outside the tunnel.

Father Jenkins blessed the field and prayed for those who will play on it in the years to come.
