GOSHEN, Ind.--- The students at Goshen College today got a special treat at the dining hall.
The student club Eco-Pax went out picking dandelions on Sunday and today Chef Jeremy Corson created six dishes for lunch using them.
Some of the dishes he made are dandelion omelets, a dandelion greens salad mix and dandelion cookies.
Many say it is a lost art using the dandelion in food.
“I think we've lost touch with what has been done in the past. I have encountered many people who have said oh my grandmother used to do this or we used to do this growing up., but we don't do it anymore,” said Glenn Gilbert, Sustainability Coordinator.
It's the second year Goshen College has done the event.
