After a long break the players made it safely from the cold of South Bend to the balmy weather of south Florida, and that includes DaVaris Daniels who is back and 100-percent after breaking his clavicle late in the season.
The wide receiver suffered an injury during the game against Boston College and at the time he described it as more of a “weird feeling,” than a broken bone.
“I didn’t really think it was too bad a hurt, it thought I just got a stinger in my neck,” said Daniels of his injury, “I came back to the sideline and it got heavier and heavier, and went to the training staff and kind of rubbed across my collar bone and realized something wasn’t in the right spot .”
Now, Coach Kelly affirms that Daniels will join his teammates in the game against Alabama due to the progress he had made.
Before leaving for Miami Daniels said he was ahead of where he thought he would be, “. Just being out for so long I thought I’d be a little bit behind but I’m right where I wanted to be.”
