SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Four Winds Invitational is just days away. On Monday, a downtown street got a new name in honor of the event.

Michigan Street was temporarily renamed "Four Winds Invitational Drive" this morning.

The tournament will bring some of the best women golfers from around the world to Blackthorn Golf Club.

The tournament is part of the Symetra Tour on the road to the LPGA, and is sponsored by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians.

This is the third year the event is being held at blackthorn.

“The Pokagon band has always been a part of this community but we never had the resources to give back like the early years when the settlers first came in this area,” explained John P. Warren. “For many years we went to the local schools, worked local jobs, and it's really exciting we've been very fortunate to be able to contribute back to the community.”

The tournament tees off Friday and runs until Sunday.
