LaPorte, Ind. An employee of a Wendy’s restaurant in LaPorte was reportedly assaulted by a customer after a dispute over the amount of ice in his drink.

It happened around 10 p.m. local time on Saturday, November 30 at the Wendy’s located at 1202 Lincolnway.

Police were told by the employee that an elderly woman with a male passenger in his 20s pulled up to the drive-thru window to collect their order.

The man had asked for very little ice in his beverage. When he received it, he got upset, complaining it had too much ice in it. That's when police say he exited the vehicle, threw his drink on the ground and approached the drive-thru window.

The suspect began slamming the drive-thru window open and closed and then reached inside and grabbed the employee's arm.

The employee was able to pull away from the suspect, who then drove away.

Anyone with information is asked to call the LaPorte Police Department at 362-9446.
