A snowmobile accident in Noble County has Indiana Conservation officers investigating what caused the driver to crash.
Officials say Michael Holcomb, 46, of Cromwell was riding a snowmobile on a patch of private property near C.R. 900 West at around 12:55 on Saturday afternoon. Holcomb struck a snow covered embankment while traveling at a speed of around 30 miles per hour and was thrown from his snowmobile.
According to investigators he was not wearing a helmet and received injuries to his head as a result.
Paramedics transported Holcomb to Kosciusko County Community Hospital in Warsaw for treatment.
