Crime Watch: Shelley Ann Werner

Mishawaka, Ind. The case of a murdered 15-year-old Mishawaka girl remains unsolved, 33 years after it happened.

Shelley Ann Werner went missing on June 16, 1980. Police believe she was abducted by a white male in a parking lot on Lincolnway East. A witness claims to have seen a man get in her car and drive away with her. There may have even been two men involved.

Her body was found 10 days later on Madison Road a mile west of U.S. 31 South. Two women walking in the area discovered it. Her car, a Volkswagen Beetle, was later found somewhere in Osceola.
