Crime Watch: Man assaulted in home invasion, robbery

Constantine, Mich. Authorities are asking for the public's help in solving a violent crime in Constantine, that happened nearly a year ago.

On April 28, 2013, two armed suspects robbed a 75-year old man in his Whispering Pines Trailer Park home on the south side of the town. They duct taped him to a chair and threatened to shoot him, then proceeded to ransack the home.

A week later, on May 6, the same suspects returned with a third and robbed him again.

The second time they assaulted him and tortured him by burning him in several places on his back until he gave up the combination to a safe he had outside in his shed.

The thieves got away with about $100,000 and several hand guns.

If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP or 800-342-STOP.
