Crime Watch: Adam Soto homicide

South Bend, Ind. Saturday marks 24 years since a South Bend man was found shot to death and still, the case remains unsolved.

Twenty-year-old Adam Soto died on June 14, 1990. Soto was leaving a house at 600 W. LaSalle St. in South Bend with some friends. A car was passing by, occupied by two black males, and they exchanged words with Adam. The car then stopped and backed up. As Adam turned to face it, he was shot and killed by one of the occupants. One of Adam’s friends was also hurt.

The suspects were described, at the time, to be in their mid-twenties to thirties. They were driving a light-colored older model car with rectangular taillights.
