Mishawaka firefighters were called to a house fire Wednesday morning in the 900 block of West Borley Avenue, just north of Jefferson Blvd. and east of Hickory Rd.
At around 7:40 a.m. a passerby noticed the fire and called emergency personnel to the house. By 9:00 a.m. dispatchers confirmed that firefighters had the fire under control.
Officials at the scene say the fire started at the back on the house. No one was home at the time so there were no injuries resulting from the blaze.
There is no word yet as to what caused the fire, but officials are investigating the incident.
