Couple donates $30 million for Notre Dame building project

Notre Dame has received a generous gift that will help in the construction of a new building for international studies.

Donald and Marilyn Keough have donated $30 million to underwrite the facility that will be named in honor of Notre Dame President Rev. John Jenkins.

The building will be located on Notre Dame Ave. south of the Hesburgh Center. Construction is set to begin in the spring of 2015 and should be complete by the 2017 academic year.

Donald Keough is a former president and chief operating officer of Coca-Cola.
